Welcome To My Thoughts!!!!

Hey everyone welcome to On The Chaise Lounge. This is my blog where I will be writing my thoughts on everyday life as I see it. They say the best therapy is writing down your thoughts and getting them out in the world so that is what I am going to do here, and its much cheaper than paying someone to hear my thoughts when I have tons of friends that can chime in and let me know what they think. This is going to be free flowing no real theme, just real random stuff from relationships, to sports, tv shows, the topics are endless. I want to welcome you again and hopefully through you, my followers, so I can get some understanding about the world and hopefully solve my issues.

Why Is It Wednesday's...Do looks matter?

Ok Ok...this is something new I want to do on Wednesday’s.  This is going to be called WHY IS IT...I will be listing things that I see daily and I question it.  Most ppl that know me think I know everything away so I am trying to learn, so hopefully so of my friends can help me.

WHY IS IT that people are much more understanding and willing to except crap from people that are attractive?  It’s like if you are attractive you can say and do whatever you want, and people will allow you to walk over them.  If you are unattractive people will be quick to check you and get pissed if you do something they don’t like.  For example…I got in a very minor fender bender with an extremely unattractive person, there was only slight damage to our cars, a little paint rubbed off nothing serious, but this chick was trying to make it such a big deal.  I have had a few days to think about and if anyone knows Keisha L. Thomas of Woodbridge please pass on I am sorry for the attitude I gave you during the hour we had to spend together waiting on the police to come.  I was highly pissed at her because she made me wait in the cold for the cops to come so they could tell us the same thing I had told her an hour prior, that we should exchange information and be on our marry ways, but I guess Ms. Thomas didn’t like the posted note I gave her she wanted it on a nicer piece of paper.
I really believe my sarcastic attitude came from the fact that she was unattractive.  At the moment of the accident the first thing I said was “damn she is not hot”.  I know that was very judgmental but when she got out the car all I saw was a bad natural hair style, two big fake flowers on the side of her hand that was on hair clips she had in the natural, and a dirty blue jacket.  I became more in raged with her because she was not trying to listen to me, I was trying to explain to her what was going to happen and she was not listening. I don’t know how many times I said under my breathe “THIS UGLY MUTHA”.  After a few days of thinking about my attitude I really feel bad because if I hadn’t been judging her appearance I would have understood that it was her first accident.  She was scared, she didn’t know what to do and me telling her what to do seem like I was trying to punk her and she just wanted the backing of cops to make sure I wasn’t trying to con her.  I would have realized it wasn’t her car so she was also afraid she would get in trouble there as well. So again I am sorry…
People I am here to tell you that physical appearance is not everything; I am going to take my own advice here and not judge people because of the way they look.  I am sure Ms. Thomas is a nice lady I just got an attitude with her because I felt she was lesser of a person because she was unattractive.  We as a people need to look deeper into a person and treat everyone the same no matter their appearance.  So from now on I am going to give it to the Halle Berry types the same way I give it to the Keisha Thomas’s types. There will be no double standards…well maybe if it really is Halle Berry then she can have whatever she wants!!

  1. Yo sometimes I really do worry about you.....there is something so wrong with you sometimes..and this is one of those times....

I don't even know where to begin with my comments on this....ummm let's see I guess I will start with posing the question back to you - Do you accept crap/let people walk all over you if THEY are attractive? If so - why....

I don't think I treat people different based on their looks but I do think I treat people different based on their attitude. Those who have a pleasant attitude I am more than willing to help out. Those who have a jacked up attitude towards me will get it reflected right back.
Maybe people who look attractive exhibit more confidence and act like they are knowledgeable. And maybe based on that other people are willing to go along with whatever they are saying or doing to make things easier.

I wonder if your attitude towards her wasn't just because she was not attractive...I also think maybe it was because she was a woman. Whenever you have previously gotten into a minor issue with a man, do you huff and puff and complain like you did with her?
Or were you simply annoyed because it was cold and you wanted to go home?

And my next question is - how unattractive could she really have been that you couldn't look past it and discuss with her why you didn't want to wait for the cops. I think there are more "plain" looking people in the world than truly ugly people. Was it really that bad that you couldn't focus and act right during a conversation???

I don't think a lot of people base things on looks, I think they base it on attitude....or at least I do....robin

  2. Eb said she does treat people different based on their looks. But that is because the ugly people are either annoying or already have bad attitudes.
